New Battery Health Changes for iPhone 15 Series
iOS 17.4 beta 4 changes the battery health status if you go to settings then Battery there is a new battery health status in the latest iPhone 15 series which tells your iPhone battery in words like Normal or Service. You can still see the battery details like maximum capacity percentage left, Cycle Counts(only in iPhone 15 series) and manufacture date of battery and first use.
Interestingly There’s a new “About Battery and Warranty” section explaining how iPhone batteries work. Interestingly, this section explains that iPhone batteries are designed to retain 80% capacity after 1,000 cycles,But according to Apple’s support page it used to say only 500 cycles! This section educates users that moderate battery percentage loss is perfectly normal over long term usage rather than something to panic over if percentage drops.

iOS 17.4 Beta 4 Performance
The performance remains consistently stable without any observed crashes, lag, or interruptions. GeekBench tests demonstrate identical single and multi-core scores compared to earlier builds, indicating no tangible speed or capability alterations internally.
Battery life appears enhanced compared to the buggy beta 3, retaining a higher percentage over a comparable iPhone usage session.
Verdict
If you want to try these features,We recommend downloading a beta version only on a secondary device other than your primary device. Since this isn’t the final version of iOS 17.4, these features might be buggy and battery life may be short, and my best advice to keep those troubles on a secondary device.
